Across energy-intensive sectors, it can improve how energy and resources are managed, reducing consumption and improving overall system efficiency (Figure 15). Over time, these gains could help offset some of the additional energy demand created by AI and data centers themselves. Participants agreed that AI can both optimize for efficiency while building systems capable of withstanding disruption and responding quickly.
